| “Lylira,
the Wizard Queen” is the second book
in Betty Klopp’s “Elves of the
Golden Forest” series, but it definitely
can and does stand alone. All the background
from book one that you need to know is skillfully
woven into the newest story as the chapters
unfold before you. Once again, Ms. Klopp has
produced a fast-moving, intricately plotted
adventure full of sharply defined, well-written
characters of good and evil.
In this book, Lylira grows
from an innocent, naive
adolescent and untried mage into a complex,
full-fledged woman, queen and wizard. All
aspects of her Elvin-Human heritage are tested.
Rylin, her mentor, and Raal, her dragon, return
to assist her growth. Borm returns and stands
by Lylira throughout her adventures.
New characters and villains
have been added. Lessons are learned from
her interactions with them both about herself
and about the nature of humanity. Through
it all, she must hold true to herself and
her people, sometimes against seemingly impossible
odds.
If you haven’t read
book one, do yourself a favor and get a copy.
You’ll want to enjoy every one of the
books in this series. Like book one, book
two doesn’t disappoint. I’m looking
forward to book three, as I’m sure you
will too.”

| "A
gripping adventure story through the lives
of the Elves facing dangers along the way
that make you want to cry, laugh and rejoice
with them. It keeps you reading page after
page of their strength and courage to adapt
in the world of so much to face and conquer.
I look forward to the next book on the "Last
Elves of the Golden Forest".

"I
felt as though I was being drawn into the
story by this overpowering force that only
a kid could understandl Indeed, the story
was not only captivating, but real in the
sense of moral tones, pitting good against
evil. The book was well written, with vivid
characterization and a great deal of excitement.
I'm looking forward to the next adventure!
